Congratulations to Stella Perini, a senior at Harrison High School, for being named a Con Edison Scholar Athlete of the week. Stella has starred on the Harrison HS basketball, Soccer and Lacrosse teams.

Perini was a key component to the Harrison HS Girls Basketball team that made it to the State finals. In three recent basketball games, Stella recorded a double-double, averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds. She has been named all league in basketball three times, and a three time all league player in Lacrosse.
Stella has served as an English tutor for Ukrainian students separated from their families, and as a leader in Backyard sports, for students with severe physical and mental disabilities.

Perini served as School Government President, and as a member of the Athletic Council, National Honors Society, Math Team and Spanish Club.

Stella will graduate with a 97.38 GPA, and is enrolled in the IB program at HHS.

“Stella is committed to her studies and is most certainly an academic,” said HHS Counselor Kelly Malczewski. “Stella has challenged herself with higher level Physics and Calculus courses. As an IB Diploma candidate, she has been highly sucessful in her classes.”

“She is also highly involved in the school’s DECA Club (Business Club) and travels regionally and nationally for business competitions.”

“Stella is also a regional qualifier for her science research project on the affects of CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy).”
