The Summit Club at Armonk’s Teaching Staff One of the Area’s Best

Mike Davis

The Summit Club at Armonk has expanded its instructional staff for the new golf season and added a renowned teacher who has prior experience working with top PGA TOUR professionals.  The club’s four staff members have a depth of experience teaching golfers of all ability levels and share impressive credentials working with boys and girls in the popular PGA Junior League programs.

Mike Davis, Director of Instruction, embarked on his career working with David Leadbetter, one of the game’s foremost instructors of PGA TOUR and LPGA professionals. He then joined forces with leading golf coach, Chris Como.  Davis traveled extensively with Como to teach tour players and other elite golfers, and he remains on call with Como Golf for lessons. Prior to his appointment at The Summit Club, Davis held club positions at the Golf Club of Purchase and the Olde Florida Golf Club in Naples, Florida.

The Director of Golf at The Summit Club is Drew Clayton.  Clayton, a PGA Class A member, served as the Assistant Golf Professional at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point, New York,  and he also has golf professional staff experience at Hudson National Golf Club where he worked for three years as an Assistant, and at The Colony Golf and Country Club in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Mike Tufo returns to assist with clinics for juniors and women, and to offer group and private lessons.  Nick Annunziata, another new addition to the team, specializes in coaching, player development and corporate clinics.  He last was on staff at Trump National Golf Club Westchester.  Annunziata also holds the course record of 67 at The Summit Club.

“We are fortunate to have such experienced and talented teaching professionals on our staff,” said Jeffrey B. Mendell, The Summit Club Managing Partner.  “Our team is dedicated to providing the best instruction for each member and student to help golfers improve and, most importantly, enjoy the game.”
