Former Westchester Congresswoman Nita Lowey Endorses Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney in NY-17

On June 14, Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney was endorsed by long-time local leader, former Rep. Nita Lowey. Rep. Maloney released the following statement on her endorsement:

“While I’m honored by all the support our campaign has received, former Congresswoman Lowey’s endorsement is particularly meaningful. Nita knows what it takes to represent and deliver for our communities here in the 17th and I appreciate her confidence in me to continue that important work,”said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney

“Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney was an invaluable partner to me in Congress. In his role on the House Intelligence Committee, he has been a leader on issues of national security and an unwavering supporter of our allies, including Israel. As a representative for the Hudson Valley, he has been responsive on issues of concern to the Jewish community, including efforts to combat anti-Semitism in the Hudson Valley, across New York and around the world. Sean is a powerful representative for the Hudson Valley and New York State, and we should keep him in Congress,” said Former Congresswoman Nita Lowey

Rep. Maloney recently reported that he raised more than $850,000 in the last quarter, and has over $2.5 million.  “Every single day, I work to earn my seat. This summer and fall, our campaign will share with voters what I’ve done on their behalf, from banning oil barge anchorages on the Hudson to delivering billions for road and bridge repairs,” said Rep. Maloney. “Thanks to the strong financial support we’ve received this quarter and throughout the year, we have the resources needed to make that case to voters once again and hold this seat in November.”
