Hosting Fundraiser for #3 Congresswoman Elise Stefanik; Will Proud Boys Return?

Former President Donald Trump will host a GOP fundraiser for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik on June 6 at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor. Trump has called Stefanik “a rising star” in the republican party, as she has risen up the ranks of GOP leadership in the House to become republican conference chair, the 3rd ranked position.
The event next month will be the fourth fund raiser that Trump has held for Stefanik, including an event at Mar-a-Lago where Trump predicted that Stefanik could be the republican nominee for President in 2028. “I want to congratulate Elise on her success. Man is she moving fast. That means at this rate she’ll be President in about 6 years,”said Trump in Jan. 2022.
Based on the former President’s political admiration for Stefanik, and the fact that Trump has whispered to his supporters that if he runs again for President in 2024 he should pick a female vice-president, Stefanik’s name is now being circulated as a possible VP pick, and a Trump-Stefanik ticket.
Newsmax owner and friend of Trump Chris Ruddy said, “President Trump thinks very highly of Elise Stefanik. … She has been talked about in circles close to him as a potential vice presidential. And there’s a feeling among a lot of people on the Republican side that they need to have a woman on the ticket this time.”
Tickets for the Briarcliff event at Trump National Golf Club will be $1,000 per ticket and $25,000 for VIP’s.
“I am so proud to join my very good friend, President Trump back in New York to raise millions of dollars to support strong ‘America First’ candidates who are going to fire Nancy Pelosi once and for all this November and save America,” said Rep. Stefanik. “I look forward to a special evening with many supporters from across New York. The energy of New York Republicans is through the roof.”
Security for the event will be tight, as it was in August of last year when Trump came to Briarcliff to host an event for the New York State GOP. “President Trump is proud to host House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik at Trump National Golf Club Westchester to help flip the House in 2022 and Save America. Elise is a well-known fighter for her district and knows how to communicate our America First message on offense and win,” said Trump communications director Taylor Budowich.
Stefanik was one of Trump’s strongest defenders during his impeachment in 2019 and in January 6, 2021 she voted no on certifying the 2020 election results. The other republican female that many conservatives talk about teaming up with Trump is former S. Carolina Governor Nicky Haley.
Protestors at last year’s Trump visit to Briarcliff included supporters and opponents to the former President. Briarcliff Police had their hands full keeping post groups separated from each other. Members of the Proud Boys were in attendance in support of the President, and surely those who support and reject Trump will be there again on June 6.
