Heavyweight Boxers Klitschko Brothers to Fight for Ukraine Against Russia

“Stop the War that Russia Has Started” One Brother former Boxing Champ, the Other Mayor of Kyiv

Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko have posted a video on social media, calling for action from around the world to stop what they described as Russian aggression in their country.   ‘This senseless war is not going to have any winners, but losers. Don’t let it continue happening in Ukraine, don’t let it happen in Europe and eventually in the world. United we are strong. Support Ukraine,” said Wladimir, who said he is going to join the Ukrainian army.

Vitali Klitschk is the mayor of Kyiv, which is currently under bombardment by the Russian Air Force. A state of emergency has been called in the city, home to 3 million people.

“The Ukrainian people are strong. And it will remain true to itself in this terrible ordeal. A people longing for sovereignty and peace. A people who consider the Russian people their brothers. It knows that they basically do not want this war.

“This war against my country is not only the result of one man’s madness, but also the result of years of weakness in Western democracies. This madness must be stopped now by stepping up deterrents. Our governments need to say things loud and clear.

“You can do something by mobilizing and organizing huge demonstrations. Make your voice heard. Make the voice of democracy heard. Say it loud and clear that international law and democracy are under attack, that war is the greatest evil and that life is sacred.

“The world is watching how reckless and deadly imperialism is, not just for #Ukraine but the whole world. Let history be a lesson to not be repeated,” Tweeted Wladimir.
