NewsCommunityEducationSports Rye Athletes Among 20 Swimmers From Chelsea Piers Who Commit to College Swim Careers February 16, 2022 Facebook Twitter Chelsea Piers Athletic Club is proud to announce that 20 student-athletes from the Chelsea Piers Aquatics Club will continue their swimming careers in college next fall. The swim team began in September of 2012 and has grown into one of the strongest club swim programs in the country. CP-AC was recognized by USA Swimming as a “Gold Medal” club in 2020 and 2021. The student-athletes who will pursue a career in NCAA athletics next fall include, from Rye Avery Sammons, will attend Emory, and Lente Geelen will attend Notre Dame.“To see that list of CP-AC swimmers attending that group of schools is incredible. It is evidence of the culture and history of success that Chelsea Piers has created for its swimmers. Personally, it has been great working with them and training them this year. As a coach, I am honored and privileged to share the deck with them.
