The recent multi-agency police taskforce in Westchester and Putnam County that seized more than 100 guns in “Operation Casper” to seize Ghost Guns and get them off the streets was a sucess. One interesting fact about the guns taken off the streets was that 60 of the more than 100 guns were seized in one home n the Town of North Castle, at a private home located at 3 Tallwoods Road in Armonk.
In addition to the 60 guns, you can image how much ammunition was found at the home, which occured on at 9 am on Jan. 25. Three family members who live in the home were arrested. 67 year old Theodore Brois, 61 year old Helene Brois and 24 year old Brandon Brois, were all arrested and charged with different felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon or firearm.
Brandon Brois, 24, of North Castle, was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Theodore Brois, 67, of North Castle, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Helene Brois, 61, of North Castle, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
Various gun parts were also found at the home, which could have been used to build more guns. Ghost guns refers to a A ghost gun is a do-it-yourself, homemade gun made from easy-to-get building blocks that can be purchased with no background check and no questions asked.
A county police helicopter was used in the raid, according to a statement released by North Castle Police Chief Peter Simonsen. “I want to thank each and every Police Officer that participated in this initiative, as well as our North Castle Police Department Detective Division. I am also very thankful for what was accomplished in this initiative, and for the seizure of the large number of illegal, and illegally possessed firearms.”
Kudos to Chief Simonsen for sharing the gun bust with the residents of North Castle, who, like every community, deserve to know what crimes are occuring in their Town, and to make decisions on the safety of their famliy accordingly.
