The 50th Annual Jewish Music and Arts Festival returns to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla on Sunday, Aug. 16 from noon to 6 p.m., celebrating five decades of music, art and community. This vibrant cultural festival welcomes people of all backgrounds to experience the richness and diversity of Jewish heritage through live music, art, food and family-friendly activities.
Headlining this year’s event is Joe Buchanan with featured performers Caleiv Jean, Elijah and The Not For Prophets, Ghazal Mizrahi, Israeli Dancing With Leng, Kosha Dillz, and Maskit Matit. Children’s activities include Wondersparks Puppets sponsored by PJ Library, free face painting by Maria, arts and crafts and playground fun.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “The Jewish Music and Arts Festival is a wonderful tradition that celebrates the richness of Jewish heritage while welcoming people of all backgrounds to come together through music, art and culture. As we mark the festival’s 50th year, we are proud to continue providing a space where families, friends and neighbors can connect, learn and celebrate as one community.”
Acting Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation William Bland said: “Each year, Kensico Dam Plaza becomes a lively gathering place for culture, connection and celebration. With inspiring performances, engaging art and activities for all ages, this festival creates a welcoming space where families and friends can celebrate heritage while building community.”
Admission and parking are free. Please bring a blanket or folding chair for lawn seating. The event is rain or shine. Coolers are not permitted, and overflow parking is available at the Valhalla and North White Plains Metro-North stations.
Pre-registration is suggested, but not required for entry.

- Muslim Heritage, Sunday, Aug. 23, Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla
- Arab-American, Sunday, Sept. 13, Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale
Kensico Dam Plaza is located at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla.
