The Yonkers Police Department arrested the defendant shortly after the incident and recovered a set of metal knuckles from the defendant’s waistband.
Twelve other individuals, including three under the age of 18, involved in the incident were arrested following a joint investigation by the Yonkers Police Department, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, the FBI’s Westchester Safe Streets Task Force, the Westchester County Department of Laboratories and Research, and the United States Office of Probation.
The 12 co-defendants each pled guilty in this case. Nine have been sentenced and three are awaiting sentencing:
- Dior Moore, 19, was sentenced on May 24, 2022, before Judge Barry Warhit in Westchester County Court, to eight years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Gang Assault in the First Degree.
- Timothy Whitney, 24, was sentenced on May 26, 2022, before Judge Warhit, to eight years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Gang Assault in the First Degree.
- Perryon McKenny, 19, was sentenced on August 18, 2022, before Judge Warhit, to eight years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Gang Assault in the First Degree.
- Latrell Murray, 23, was sentenced on June 9, 2022, before Judge Warhit, to eight years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Robbery in the First Degree, a felony.
- Darden Thomas, 22, was sentenced on June 9, 2022, before Judge Warhit, to eight years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Robbery in the Second Degree, a felony.
- Adolescent Offender, 18, was sentenced on May 26, 2022, before Judge Helen Blackwood in Youth Part, to five years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Gang Assault in the First Degree.
- Jahnai McNeal, 20, was sentenced on May 26, 2022, before Judge Warhit, to 3.5 years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Gang Assault in the Second Degree, a violent felony.
- Adolescent Offender, 19, was sentenced on February 16, 2022, before Judge Blackwood, to 3.5 years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to Gang Assault in the Second Degree.
- Adolescent Offender, 18, was adjudicated a Youthful Offender and sentenced to one year of detention.
- Vance Major, 23, pled guilty on September 1, 2022, to Gang Assault in the Second Degree. In accordance with his plea agreement, the defendant will be sentenced to eight years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, when he is sentenced on January 5, 2023.
- Drayquan Green, 21, pled guilty on October 3, 2022, to Gang Assault in the First Degree. In accordance with his plea agreement, the defendant will be sentenced to five years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision, when he is sentenced on January 13, 2023.
- Peter Thompson, 20, pled guilty on October 12, 2022, to Riot in the First Degree, a felony, and Disorderly Conduct, a violation, and is awaiting final disposition of his case.
- The case of Develle Coates is before Judge Robert Neary in Westchester County Court, and all defendants are being prosecuted by the Violent Criminal Enterprise Bureau of the Trials and Investigations Division.
